Research and planning : Evaluation question 4


Evaluation Question 4

how did you use media technologies in the Construction, Research & Planning and Evaluation stages.

Construction

SLR Camera
              
I used the SLR camera to take the picture for my poster and magazine and unlike As when I was not very familiar with the camera and just focused on taking the pictures. this year because I have more experience I thought of the positioning of the camera the lighting  and background and this made the pictures of a better quality and more related to my genre.

I movie


                                                              

 I Movie was a new type of  software that I got introduced to  this year in Media. I used this software programmer to create my trailer, add sound and edit parts of the clips and also the cinematography shots. This got a little bit of time to get used to but after using it a few times to practice , it was quite simple and easy to understand.

Garage band 


            

Garage band was also introduced to me this year just like I Movie . I found this harder than I Movie to get used to because I had to create the sound and it was difficult trying to get the effects  and the type of sound I wanted for my trailer. The sound created in this program was put towards some the different shots and scenes in my trailer.

 I was a little familiar with I Show u  because it was used last year  to record some of the progression made during the year for example on the magazine and also used it for my pod-casts. I used this program for the same reason this year but it helped me greatly when doing my evaluations this year. This is because the evaluations this year consisted more on using technology where I had to talk and show my answers instead of writing them.

Camera

         I used this camera in my first year for the same reason like taking pictures of locations, costumes, make up tests, quick video's for the location recces etc. The camera was easy to use.

Photoshop

    

I used Photoshop to help me create my poster and magazine this year and I did this in less time than it took me last year. This is because of all the time I spent experimenting last year and because I use it in my other college lessons so I am more aware of what is expected now and how to use it.

Research and planning

Blogger

             

 Blogger was used again this year to record the process I had and was making  throughout the project. All the research and planning that was carried out went on my blog and I ended up being more experimental and independent in putting up more posts and doing researches of my own. In addition, I was able to put my evaluation answers on it.

Prezi 

 

I used this program different presentation regarding my poster and magazine convention codes. Prezi was quick to use also since I had already had experience using it and was aware of how to so it made the work easier a less stressful.

 I used word it out to have a play around with different words trying to find one that I can easily associate with my  trailer magazine and or poster.

Excel 

 

I used to create my publication plan, which was another task  I was experienced in because of last year. This consisted of me writing out all the tasks that needed to be completed this year regarding my trailer, poster and magazine and when I was planning to do them.

word document 

 

I used this program  to write out the scripts, questionnaires, plans for filming etc. Skills within using Microsoft word had been gained throughout the last several years of my education since it's such a common piece of software that is commonly used for  different activities regulary
   


The internet has been most useful and used throughout the whole of the research and planning stage of this project. From using IMDb to find out the top horror films, to using you tube to find trailer and score influences, the internet has helped dramatically.

PowerPoint was used to create the pitch at the beginning of the project, which then led to using  'Slide share' to upload it onto my blog. The pitch consisted of different initial ideas that I had regarding plot, location, sound etc.

like I said above I used  Slide share was used to put my 'pitch' onto my blog. Although I didn't  have much experience with the software, I found it was very easy to use and to understand.
