Research and planning: Production Company Research

I have been looking at different production companies related to my trailer genre in order to be able to come up with a good production company logo I have however considered different name ideas and I do quite like the sound of Xtreme pictures as a name for my production company.

Here are some other examples of horror films production companies:

Hammer Films is a film production company based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1934, the company is best known for a series of Gothic "Hammer Horror" films made from the mid-1950s until the 1970s. Hammer also produced science fictionthrillersfilm noir and comedies – and in later years, television series. During its most successful years, Hammer dominated the horror film market, enjoying worldwide distribution and considerable financial success. This success was due, in part, to distribution partnerships with major United States studios, such as Warner Bros.

Shattered Dreams Productions, commonly referred to as SDP, was Co-Founded in 2003 by Pablo Macho Maysonet IV as a professional film production company majoring in Horror. Currently based in Southern New Jersey and inspired by filmmakers like Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Rodriguez, John Carpenter, and Park Chan-Wook, SDP's range of influence spans across the globe.SDP are always looking for new talent both infront of and behind the camera. Dedicated to independent filmmakers alike, they continue forming successful relationships with others willing to "risk it all" in the name of horror. However, horror is not SDP's only subject of filmmaking. They have produced films in the Comedy, Drama, Action/Adventure, and Documentary genres of film. Continuing to spread their unique breed of filmmaking across the motion picture platform beyond just horror.

Twisted Pictures is an American independent production company, mainly creating films of the horror genre. The company was founded in 2004 by Evolution Entertainment's Mark burg, Oren Koules and Gregg Hoffman. They are known for producing the saw film series.
Twisted Pictures was formed after the box office success of Saw in 2004, which lead to a nine-picture distribution deal with Lionsgate. The company went on to produce six sequels in the Saw film series. Carl Mazzocone served as president for four years.
In June 2007, the company formed a joint venue with RKO pictures to remake four films out of RKO library. The remakes include, five come back (1939), I walked with a zombie (1943),The body snatcher (1945), and Bedlam (1946).
In October 2009, Twisted Pictures landed a deal with the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre rights-holders Bob Kuhn and Kim Henkel after discussions with Platinum Dunes fell apart. The deal is for multiple films.
On June 28, 2012, Twisted Pictures opened a new television division. The first production of Twisted Television is a television adaption of Anger Management.

Brain Damage Films' movies are known for their horror aspects and sometimes lower budgets. They are also known for a variety of shock/explotation films, the most notable of which being the traces of death series, which was produced in response to the popularity of the faces of death series.
A majority of the company's library of movies contain sexuality, nudity, gore, graphic violence and many other aspects common to horror movies, making "Brain Damage" a fitting name. Founder darrin rampage is known for expressing his opinion that "everyone is looking for B and B: blood and boobs."  Brain Damage Films created a fan following which continues to grow. The fans are often referred to as "Gorehounds.
